I believe that Corrugated 3-D Perimetry will be one of the key processes in the future of recycling used corrugated cardboard boxes. You may not have any idea on what the differences are between cardboard and corrugated board. In general, you would think that Corrugated Board is cardboard, but it is not. Cardboard is a form of paperboard as well as corrugated board, but it is the material use for backing of tablets and making milk cartons, etc. Corrugated Board, on the other hand, is use for making heavy-duty boxes, containers, and it is simply made of brown paper bag type of paper (linerboard) that passes through rollers with crests and troughs. This corrugated paper is then put between two slices of smooth linerboards that gives the corrugated board a wavy sandwich like structure. Actually, corrugated board is the material that Corrugated 3-D Perimetry principles are found upon.

Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering is the finished product after applying the recycling process called Corrugated 3-D Perimetry. The terminology, “ Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering ”, is not complex as it sounds; it simply means that it has to be built or craft to order. In other words, when one custom makes he or she would have to design, draft, built, or craft to specification. Three dimension (3-D) is the form the art or craft piece is finished in after applying the Corrugated 3-D Perimetry process. This term, “3-D” is simply stating that it shows all-dimensional views such as the front, top, rear, and bottom, right, and left side views. Cardboard is a form of paperboard made of paper pulp, use for making cartons and signs. Cardboard is usually mistaken for corrugated board, which is the paperboard material that the Corrugated 3-D Perimetry process is founded upon when building Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering products or projects. The word cardboard was used to draw attention to Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering products because people in general are more familiar with the word “cardboard” as opposed to corrugated board. Lettering is the act, process, or art of forming letters. Corrugated 3-D Perimetry can be used to create almost any lettering style, shapes, and possible be applied to other materials. So far, it has been applied to corrugated board. This process is also used to create lettering styles such as Standardized, Cursive, Old English, and other shapes such as human and animal shadow figures. In applying Corrugated 3-D Perimetry, Standardized lettering is a form of lettering style that have its characters stand at an angle of 90 degrees perpendicular to a 180 degree line as one see in print but more uniform. Standardized lettering is the simplest lettering style to produce by using Corrugated 3-D Perimetry because this lettering style consist of lines, right angles, and circles. Cursive lettering style is slightly leaned to the right between 30-60 degrees angled towards a 180-degree line or surface plane. It is consistent in forming perfect curves, ovals, and arches. Old English is one of the harder styles to produce because it is more complex. It seems to be a lettering form that combines both Cursive and Standardized in one style. Old English has to have a background effect in order for each character to be connected to each other, which is opposite compared to cursive and standardize lettering. When applying Corrugated 3-D Perimetry to shapes, objects, human shadow figures, and animal shapes is more on the craft side of this process. In short, Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering products are produced in many shapes and lettering styles.

This unique and creative recycling method changes the physical appearances of containerboard (corrugated) or boxes in shape, size, color, structure, and exterior aesthetics in 3-d form. This recycling process is harmless to the environment and humans. The terminology, “Corrugated 3-D Perimetry”, is not complex as it may appear; it simply means that it has to be put together in 3-d form. The word “Corrugated” is the name of the material that this process is founded upon. Corrugated boxes or corrugated board is a form paperboard material made from paper pulp. According to Webster’s dictionary, “corrugate means to draw or bend into folds or alternate furrows and ridges; wrinkle and to become corrugated; undergo corrugation”. The way this process was named was determined by the way corrugated board is used in order to construct Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering products. All the techniques and principles that are used in applying Corrugated 3-D Perimetry were based upon the corrugated board material itself. By understanding the structure of corrugated and how it is manufactured will give one a broader view of why this particular process name was chosen to describe this type of process. The words, “Three dimension” (3-D), are the form that a Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering product comes in after applying the Corrugated 3-D Perimetry process. This term, “3-D” is simply stating that after applying the Corrugated 3-D Perimetry process, it will enable one to see all-dimensional views such as the front, top, rear, and bottom, right, and left side views of a Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering product. Perimetry is a word used to describe outermost boundaries. Perimetry is also a word used to indicate that Geometry is being applied in order that this process works. This process uses a series of bending and slit-cutting techniques to create lettering styles such as standardize, cursive, old English, and other shapes such as human and animal shadow figures. Therefore, a lot of Geometry is used to create accurate bends, cuts, and angles, etc. Overall, Corrugated 3-D Perimetry is the process used to recycle corrugated boards or boxes to create Custom-Made 3-D Cardboard Lettering products.
